Yaz Ertürk (b. 1998) graduated from Bilkent University's Department of Interior Architecture. Currently, she is a student in the History of Architecture Master’s Program at Middle East Technical University, writing her thesis on place-making practices. In 2023, she got accepted for the Erasmus+ Program at the Politecnico di Torino, where she continued her theoretical studies on her research.

Her interest in photography started in the darkroom and developed when she attended photography courses and ateliers. Ertürk is drawn to situations in between people, objects, and scenes without intervening in the scene. She uses photography as a personal anecdote by mingling around and taking snapshots in a note-taking manner, capturing small details or abnormalities of things and mistakes.
